DG1 is acam's first stand-alone Digital-to-Time Converter. This device converts a given digital value into a time interval of high precision. This is basically the inversion of a time-to-digital converter (TDC).
DG1 can generate time intervals in two modes:
Single pulse mode: The delay is given by the pulse width of a single pulse (rising edge to falling edge).
Double pulse mode: The delay is given by two pulses pulses on output DLY_A (rising edge to rising edge). Additionally, there is a second stop pulse on output DLY_B.
A digital to Time Converter or TDC is the inverse of a Time to Digital Converter or TDC. A Digital To Time Converter translates a digital signal into a time interval.
